Obite Evan Ndicka

Obite Evan Ndicka is a centre-back for AS Roma and the Ivory Coast. Born in Paris in 1999, he developed in local football before joining AJ Auxerre’s academy at 13. Ndicka made his professional debut for Auxerre in Ligue 2 in January 2017, aged 17. In July 2018, he moved to Eintracht Frankfurt, where he quickly established himself and was named Bundesliga Rookie of the Month for February 2019. Across five seasons in Germany, he became a regular defender and helped Frankfurt win the 2021–22 UEFA Europa League. Ndicka joined Roma on a free transfer in June 2023, adding experience in both three-man and four-man defensive systems. After representing France through under-21 level, he switched to the Ivory Coast in 2023 and played every minute of their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations triumph, held in 2024.
