Eric Miller

Eric Miller is a defender for the Portland Timbers, having built a Major League Soccer career across several clubs. Born in Jacksonville, USA, on January 15, 1993, he developed in Minnesota and starred for Woodbury High School before playing college soccer at Creighton. Miller started 62 of 63 matches for the Bluejays and helped them reach College Cup appearances in 2011 and 2012. Montreal selected him fifth overall in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft, and he won the Canadian Championship during his time with the club. He later played for the Colorado Rapids, Minnesota United FC and Nashville SC, including a 2017 season in which he started 30 matches and was named Colorado’s Defensive Player of the Year. Miller joined Portland in 2023 and scored his first MLS goal against Sporting Kansas City on April 7, 2024. His versatility across the back line remains valuable to Portland.
