Edgar Malakyan
Edgar Malakyan is an Armenian football forward who operates naturally on the left wing. Born in Yerevan in 1990, he developed at Pyunik and made his senior debut for the club in 2007. He helped Pyunik win the Armenian Premier League, Cup and Supercup in 2010 before moving to Czech club Viktoria Plzeň in 2012. Malakyan later played for České Budějovice, Stal Kamianske, Zhetysu and Petrolul Ploiești, gaining experience in the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Romania. Back in Armenia, he represented Alashkert, Shirak, Ararat Yerevan and Urartu, while also returning to Pyunik. A right-footed attacker, Malakyan can cut inside from the left, combine in the final third and contribute as an attacking midfielder or right winger. He made his Armenia debut in 2009, featured in World Cup and European Championship qualifying, and is currently listed with Pyunik.
