Edvin Kurtulus

Edvin Kurtulus is a Swedish defender whose registered position is right-back. He joined Halmstads BK at five, signed his first professional contract in December 2018, and made his Superettan debut in May 2019. Initially deployed on the right, Kurtulus moved into central defence in 2020 and helped Halmstad win the Superettan and secure promotion to Allsvenskan. After establishing himself at the top level, he transferred to Hammarby IF in early 2022 and later served as the club’s vice-captain. In June 2024, Kurtulus moved abroad to Ludogorets Razgrad, where he has played in Bulgaria’s First Professional League and gained UEFA Europa League experience. He represented Kosovo at under-21 level and received a senior call-up before choosing Sweden. Kurtulus made his Sweden debut against Serbia in June 2022, adding international experience to his versatile defensive career.
