Ezri Konsa Ngoyo

Ezri Konsa Ngoyo is an English centre-back who plays for Aston Villa. Born in London on 23 October 1997, Konsa developed at Senrab FC before joining Charlton Athletic’s academy at age 11. His early football included spells at right-back and central midfield, broadening his defensive and technical education. Konsa made his senior breakthrough with Charlton, becoming a specialist centre-back before moving to Brentford in 2018. After one Championship season, he joined Aston Villa in 2019 and established himself as a composed Premier League defender. His anticipation, positioning, recovery pace and ball-playing ability support Villa’s build-up, while his versatility allows him to operate in changing defensive shapes. He represented England at the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup, later reaching the Euro 2024 final with the senior side.
