Ercan Kara

Ercan Kara is an Austrian forward born in Vienna on 3 January 1996. He developed in the capital’s football system, making his senior debut for Slovan HAC before spending 2014–16 with Austria Wien II. Kara later rebuilt his career at FC Mauerwerk, where his prolific fourth-tier spell helped attract professional attention. SV Horn gave him a route into Austria’s 2. Liga in 2019, and his strong scoring run earned a January 2020 move to Rapid Vienna. He quickly became a central attacking outlet for Rapid, including a two-goal Europa League performance against Dundalk. Kara made his Austria debut in a 2021 World Cup qualifier against Denmark. In January 2022 he joined Orlando City, helped win the 2022 U.S. Open Cup, then played for Samsunspor before returning to Rapid Vienna in 2025.
