Ethan Shea Horvath

Ethan Shea Horvath is an American goalkeeper born in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, on June 9, 1995. He developed with Real Colorado and trained with Manchester City and Stoke City before moving to Norway, where Molde gave him a professional pathway as a teenager. Horvath broke into Molde's first team after Ørjan Nyland's departure and helped the club top its Europa League group in 2015. In 2017, he joined Club Brugge, recording Champions League clean sheets against Atlético Madrid and Borussia Dortmund before becoming second choice to Simon Mignolet. He moved to England in 2021, representing Nottingham Forest, Luton Town, Cardiff City and Sheffield Wednesday, and played a major role in Luton's 2022–23 promotion campaign. For the United States, Horvath's defining moment came in the 2021 CONCACAF Nations League final, when he replaced Zack Steffen and saved Andrés Guardado's 120th-minute penalty against Mexico. Horvath returned to MLS with the New York Red Bulls in 2026, bringing European experience and a reputation for composed shot-stopping and calm area command.
