Edgar Grigoryan

Edgar Grigoryan is an Armenian left-back who developed at FC Urartu’s academy, joining the club’s system at age six and spending more than a decade there. On 30 July 2019, he moved to FC Noah on a one-year loan and was part of the squad that won the 2019–20 Armenian Cup. He returned to Urartu for the 2020–21 season and established himself as a regular Armenian Premier League starter. In December 2022, Grigoryan ended his Urartu contract by mutual agreement before joining Ararat-Armenia on 12 January 2023. Primarily a left-back, Edgar Grigoryan has also been used at right-back and as an inverted wing-back. His role combines defensive positioning with build-up involvement and the ability to support transitions from the flank. He received an Armenia call-up in March 2024 and made his senior debut against Kosovo on 22 March.
