Edoardo Goldaniga

Edoardo Goldaniga is an Italian centre-back born in Milan on November 2, 1993. He developed through lower-division football before joining Palermo, where he progressed from the youth setup into senior football. A spell with Palermo was followed by loans that gave him experience at Frosinone, Genoa and Cagliari, broadening his work across Serie A defensive systems. Goldaniga moved to Sassuolo in 2017, continuing his top-flight career as a central defender involved in build-up play as well as defensive duels. At 193 centimetres, he offers a strong aerial presence and can operate in both three-man and four-man back lines. In January 2024, Goldaniga returned to Lombardy by joining Como, where his experience supports the club’s defensive unit. He remains registered as a centre-back for Como, combining positioning, aerial defending and measured distribution from the back.
