Elmando Gjini

Elmando Gjini is an Albanian defender born in Shkodër on 28 August 2002. Standing 1.97 metres tall, he developed in Sweden with IF Brommapojkarna before moving to Italy, where he spent time with Bologna and Genoa. At Genoa, Gjini made 57 appearances for the club’s Primavera side, continuing his development as a centre-back. He moved into senior football with Amora FC in Portugal during the 2022–23 season, recording 15 appearances and one goal. In early 2024, he returned to Albania and joined KF Teuta, making 17 appearances and scoring twice. He then moved to Kosovo with FC Ballkani in August 2024 before later representing KF Vllaznia on loan. Gjini has progressed through Albania’s under-16, under-17, under-19, under-20 and under-21 teams, and is currently listed with AF Elbasani.
