Emil Peter Forsberg
Emil Peter Forsberg is a Swedish attacking midfielder born in Sundsvall on 23 October 1991. He entered senior football with GIF Sundsvall in 2009, then moved to Malmö FF in 2013. At Malmö, Forsberg won consecutive Allsvenskan titles in 2013 and 2014, and was named the league’s Midfielder of the Year in 2014. He joined RB Leipzig in 2015, helped the club win promotion in 2016, and recorded 22 Bundesliga assists in Leipzig’s first top-flight season in 2016–17. Forsberg also scored Leipzig’s first Champions League goal against Monaco in 2017. For Sweden, he scored against Switzerland at the 2018 World Cup and registered four goals at Euro 2020. Since joining New York Red Bulls in 2024, he has continued his career in MLS, bringing experience from Germany and international football.
