Elia Ciacci

Elia Ciacci is a San Marino midfielder who plays for Virtus. Born in San Marino on 13 November 2001, he developed within the San Marino Academy system. Ciacci represented San Marino at under-17, under-19 and under-21 level during his progression into senior club football. On 1 July 2020, he moved from the academy to Virtus, beginning a long-term spell with the Acquaviva club. Primarily a central midfielder, Ciacci has also been used as a defensive midfielder and, on occasion, in an attacking role. His responsibilities have included linking defence with attack, collecting possession in deeper areas and protecting the back four. Ciacci has gained continental experience with Virtus in UEFA Champions League and Conference League qualifying, while also featuring regularly in the Campionato Sammarinese.
