Edwin Javier Cerrillo

Edwin Javier Cerrillo is an American midfielder from Waco, Texas, born on October 3, 2000. He joined the FC Dallas Academy at 14 after beginning the sport as a young child and later signed a Homegrown Player contract in February 2019. Cerrillo made his professional debut for Dallas in March 2019 and developed into a regular holding midfielder, becoming a consistent starter by 2022. In August 2023, he moved to the LA Galaxy, seeking a new opportunity after his formative years in Texas. With the Galaxy, Cerrillo helped win the 2024 MLS Cup and scored in the El Tráfico rivalry that season. His game centers on accurate distribution, pressure-resistant relief passes and the speed to cover defensive transitions.
