Elio Capradossi
Elio Capradosi is an Italian centre-back born in Kampala, Uganda, on 11 March 1996. He moved to Italy as a child and developed in AS Roma’s youth system, captaining the Primavera side to the 2015–16 Italian Under-19 Championship. After a developmental loan at Bari, Capradosi returned to Roma and made his Serie A debut in a 1–0 victory over Cagliari on 6 May 2018. He later established himself with Spezia, first on loan and then permanently, helping the club win promotion to Serie A through the 2019–20 playoffs. His progress was interrupted by ACL injuries in the 2015–16 and 2019–20 seasons. A former Italy youth international from Under-16 to Under-21 level, he switched allegiance to Uganda in June 2024 and debuted against Botswana. Capradosi now continues his career with Universitatea Cluj in Romania.
