Evan William Bush

Evan William Bush is a goalkeeper whose professional career has followed a long route from Ohio’s lower divisions to Major League Soccer. Born in Concord Township, Ohio, he developed at Lake Catholic High School before playing for the University of Akron from 2005 to 2008. Bush finished his college career as the Mid-American Conference’s all-time leader in wins, shutouts and goals-against average, while also gaining summer experience with Chicago Fire Premier and Cleveland Internationals. Undrafted by MLS in 2009, he began professionally with the Cleveland City Stars and later played for Crystal Palace Baltimore. In 2011, Bush joined the Montreal Impact in the NASL, won the league’s Golden Glove and helped the club move into MLS in 2012. He spent nearly a decade in Montreal, becoming a primary starter and winning the Golden Glove during the 2014–15 CONCACAF Champions League run to the final. After a 2020 spell with Vancouver Whitecaps, Bush moved to Columbus Crew, where he became a veteran backup and helped win the 2021 Campeones Cup.
