Eric Boakye

Eric Boakye is a Ghanaian defender, born in Accra on 19 November 1999. He developed with Asokwa Deportivo before moving to Olimpija Ljubljana’s under-19 side in 2017. At Olimpija, Boakye progressed into senior football and helped the club win the Slovenian PrvaLiga in 2017/18 and the Slovenian Cup in 2017/18, 2018/19 and 2020/21. He also gained experience in UEFA Champions League and Europa League qualifying. In 2022, Boakye joined Aris Limassol, where he contributed to the team’s 2022/23 Cypriot First Division title, the first league championship in the club’s history. Used primarily on the right, he has also operated as an inverted wing-back, moving inside during build-up while supporting defensive coverage. Boakye moved to FC Noah in July 2025, continuing his career in Armenia.
