Ermin Bičakčić

Ermin Bičakčić is a Bosnia and Herzegovina defender who developed from a youth forward into a centre-back. Born in Zvornik on 24 January 1990, he moved to Germany and entered VfB Stuttgart’s academy in 2005, later progressing to the reserve side. In 2012, Bičakčić joined Eintracht Braunschweig and helped the club win promotion to the Bundesliga in 2013. He moved to 1899 Hoffenheim in 2014, establishing himself as a physical central defender and making his UEFA Champions League debut during the club’s 2018–19 campaign. Bičakčić switched his international allegiance to Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2013 and represented the country at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, including its match against Argentina. After returning to Braunschweig in 2023, he brought extensive Bundesliga experience and defensive leadership back to the club.
