Eduard Andrés Atuesta Velasco
Eduard Andrés Atuesta Velasco is a Colombian midfielder born in Vélez on 18 June 1997. He developed at Independiente Medellín and made his senior debut in April 2016, helping the club win the Categoría Primera A title that year. In 2018, Atuesta moved to Los Angeles FC, becoming a deep-lying organiser who linked defensive recovery with forward passing. He helped LAFC win the 2019 Supporters’ Shield and was recognised in the MLS Best XI. Atuesta joined Palmeiras in 2022 and added Brazilian honours during his spell in Brazil. He returned to LAFC on loan in 2024 and contributed to the club’s U.S. Open Cup triumph. In 2025, Atuesta moved to Orlando City SC, where his experience and ability to control midfield continue to shape his role.
