Dylan Tavares dos Santos

Dylan Tavares is a Cape Verdean defender, born in Geneva, Switzerland, on 30 August 1996. He began his senior career in Swiss football, making an appearance for Étoile Carouge before continuing through Stade Nyonnais, Servette U21 and Yverdon Sport. Tavares later developed at Stade Lausanne-Ouchy, helping the club win the 2018–19 Liga Promotion title. After a spell with Neuchâtel Xamax in the Swiss Challenge League, he moved to France and joined Bastia in Ligue 2. At Bastia, Dylan Tavares established himself as a left-sided defender who could also operate farther forward. He chose to represent Cape Verde, debuting internationally in October 2020, and was part of the squad that reached the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 in 2021. Tavares continued his French career with Sochaux, adding experience as a defender at club level.
