Douglas Mendes Moreira

Douglas Mendes Moreira is a Brazilian defender born on 13 June 2004. He developed at Ponte Preta and made his professional debut in Brazil’s Série B in 2021, later making eight appearances during the 2022 season. He moved to Red Bull Bragantino in August 2022, stepping into Série A that November. Mendes joined FC Liefering on loan in February 2023, before Salzburg completed his permanent transfer from Bragantino later that year. He returned to Bragantino on loan in January 2024, with the spell extended through 2025. At 1.89 metres, he brings a strong aerial presence and contributes to build-up play from defence. He represented Brazil at under-20 level, winning the 2023 South American Championship and appearing at that year’s FIFA U-20 World Cup. Douglas Mendes is listed with Vila Nova.
