José Diogo Dalot Teixeira

José Diogo Dalot Teixeira, known as Diogo Dalot, is a Portugal international right-back for Manchester United. Born in Braga on 18 March 1999, he developed at Fintas before joining FC Porto’s academy in 2008. Dalot progressed through Porto’s youth system and made his senior debut in October 2017 in a Taça de Portugal win. In June 2018, he transferred to Manchester United, where he continued developing as a versatile defender. A loan to AC Milan in 2020–21 gave Dalot experience on both flanks and contributed to his defensive growth. Returning to United, he established himself at right-back while also covering the left, and he was voted the club’s Players’ Player of the Year for 2023–24. Dalot has represented Portugal from youth level through the senior team and won the 2016 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.
