Diogo dos Santos Cabral

Diogo Calila, whose full name is Diogo dos Santos Cabral, is a Portuguese defender born in Seixal on 10 October 1998. He began his youth development at Seixal FC before joining Belenenses and then entering Benfica’s academy in 2009. Calila remained with Benfica’s youth setup until 2017, building the foundation for his professional career. He made his Primeira Liga debut for B-SAD in January 2019 against Porto. Primarily a right-back, he can also operate as a wing-back or right midfielder, giving his teams flexibility on the flank. In August 2022, Calila moved to Santa Clara, where he continued competing in Portuguese football and helped the club return to the top flight for 2024–25. He later received a call-up to the Mozambique national team, adding international involvement to his career.
