Diego José Conde Alcolado

Diego José Conde Alcolado is a Spanish goalkeeper from Madrid, born on 28 October 1998. He joined Atlético Madrid’s youth setup in 2007 and made his senior debut for the club’s reserve side against Deportivo Fabril in November 2017. Conde gained first-team experience on loan at Navalcarnero in 2018–19 before moving to Leganés, where he made his professional debut in Segunda División during the 2020–21 season. He then spent 2021–23 with Getafe, making one late La Liga substitute appearance. In June 2023, Conde returned to Leganés permanently and became the club’s regular starter. During the 2023–24 campaign, he conceded 26 goals in 40 matches, won the LALIGA HYPERMOTION Ricardo Zamora Trophy and helped Leganés secure the title and promotion. Standing 1.88 metres tall, Conde is noted for reflexes, aerial presence and dependable distribution, and he joined Villarreal in July 2024 on a contract running to 2029.
