Denis Suárez Fernández

Denis Suárez is a Spanish midfielder from Salceda de Caselas, born in 1994. He developed with Porriño Industrial and Celta Vigo before moving to Manchester City in 2011, where he was named the club’s Young Player of the Year in 2012. In 2013, Denis Suárez returned to Spain with Barcelona B and established himself as a possession-oriented midfielder. He joined Sevilla on loan in 2014 and won the Europa League, then moved to Villarreal, helping the club finish fourth in La Liga and reach the Europa League semi-finals. Barcelona brought him back in 2016, and he collected domestic honours while operating as a versatile rotational midfielder. A 2019 loan to Arsenal was followed by a return to Celta Vigo, where he spent three seasons before spells involving Espanyol and Villarreal. Denis Suárez now represents Alavés, continuing his career as a link between midfield and attack.
