David Castro Pazos

David Castro Pazos is a Spanish defender born in Cuntis on 9 October 1995. Standing 1.92 metres tall, he developed in Pontevedra CF’s academy before beginning his senior career with Portonovo SD in 2014. He then played for CD Estradense and Céltiga FC, building experience in Galicia’s lower divisions. In 2017, Castro returned to Pontevedra, where his performances led to an opportunity with Valencia CF’s reserve side in 2019. He later represented CD Numancia before joining Racing Ferrol in 2021. Castro became an important member of the Ferrol team that won promotion to Segunda División in 2023, making 35 appearances during the campaign. A centre-back noted for his height and left-footed build-up play, he can also cover at full-back and currently represents Racing Ferrol.
