Sergi Darder Moll

Sergi Darder Moll is a Spanish central midfielder from Artà, Mallorca. He joined Espanyol’s academy at 13 in 2007 before moving to Málaga’s reserve team in 2012. Málaga promoted Darder to the senior side in 2013, and he made his La Liga debut against Valencia soon afterwards. In 2015, he transferred to Lyon, where he developed his experience in Ligue 1 and scored against Paris Saint-Germain in February 2016 as Lyon ended their 36-match unbeaten run. Darder returned to Espanyol in 2017 and became an important figure as the club experienced both European qualification and relegation. He helped Espanyol win the 2020–21 Segunda División title and secure an immediate return to La Liga. In 2023, Darder joined Mallorca, bringing his progression from energetic midfielder to central playmaker back to his home island.
