Daniel García Carrillo

Daniel García Carrillo, commonly known as Dani García, is a Spanish central midfielder born in Zumárraga on 24 May 1990. He developed in Real Sociedad’s youth system before beginning his senior career with Alicante CF B in 2009–10 and moving to Getafe CF B in 2011. In 2012, García joined Eibar, initially on loan, and became a key figure as the club rose from the lower divisions to La Liga. His disciplined work in central midfield helped him establish himself as a regular and later captain for the Basque side. In June 2018, Dani García moved to Athletic Club on a free transfer, spending six seasons in the club’s midfield. He helped Athletic win the 2020–21 Supercopa de España and the 2023–24 Copa del Rey. After leaving Athletic, García joined Olympiacos in July 2024, continuing his career in Greece.
