Daniel Pedro Calvo San Román

Dani Calvo, whose full name is Daniel Pedro Calvo San Román, is a Spanish centre-back born in Huesca on 1 April 1994. He developed in the youth system of CD Peñas Oscenses before moving to Numancia at 18 and progressing to the reserve side in 2013. Calvo made his Numancia first-team debut against Eibar in June 2014, then spent the 2015–16 season on loan with Atlético Levante. After returning to Numancia, he joined Elche on loan in December 2018 and signed permanently the following year. With Elche, Dani Calvo helped secure promotion to LaLiga through the 2019–20 play-offs, making his top-flight debut against Real Sociedad in September 2020. He moved to Oviedo as a free agent in July 2021 and has since provided height, aerial strength and positional discipline in central defence. At Oviedo, he has also developed into a leadership figure and defensive organiser.
