Dmitrijs Zelenkovs
Dmitrijs Zelenkovs is a Latvian central midfielder from Rēzekne who developed first at Rēzeknes BJSS before joining the FS Metta academy in 2013. In 2016, he moved to Italy and spent four years in Empoli’s youth system, making 90 appearances and recording seven goals and six assists for its youth sides. He did not make a senior appearance for Empoli. Zelenkovs returned to Latvia with FK Metta in 2021, playing 11 top-flight matches, before joining Italian Serie D club Montespaccato Calcio in 2022. After a trial, he signed for Rīgas FS in July 2022 and established himself in the club’s midfield. With Rīgas FS, Zelenkovs won Latvian league titles in 2023 and 2024, the Latvian Cup in 2024 and the Super Cup in 2025. He made his Latvia senior debut against Croatia on 18 November 2023 and has also featured in European competition for Rīgas FS.
