DeAndre Roselle Yedlin

DeAndre Roselle Yedlin is an American right-back born in Seattle in 1993. He developed in the Seattle Sounders academy and, after two seasons at the University of Akron, became the club’s first Homegrown Player signing in 2013. Yedlin made his professional debut that year, earned an MLS All-Star selection as a rookie, and represented the United States at the 2014 World Cup. His performances led to a move to Tottenham Hotspur, followed by a Premier League loan at Sunderland. He joined Newcastle United in 2016, helped the club win the Championship and promotion, and made 125 appearances there. After playing for Galatasaray, Yedlin returned to MLS with Inter Miami in 2022 and captained the side during its 2023 Leagues Cup triumph. He later played for FC Cincinnati before joining Real Salt Lake, continuing a career defined by pace, recovery runs, width and improving defensive discipline.
