Dexter Xuereb
Dexter Xuereb is a Maltese defender from St. Paul’s Bay who has developed primarily as a right-back. He came through Mosta’s academy and made his senior debut during the 2014/15 season, remaining with the club until January 2020. Xuereb then joined Gżira United before moving to Santa Lucia in August 2021, where he established himself as a regular in the back line. His performances at Mosta earned him the BOV Player of the Month award in January 2020. On 30 May 2021, he made his Malta debut in a friendly against Northern Ireland. Xuereb signed for Hibernians in June 2024 and helped the club win the Meridianbet FA Trophy in 2024/25. At Hibernians, he has also been used at centre-back and right midfield, reflecting his defensive versatility and ability to contribute in different areas.
