David Walsh

David Walsh is a Northern Irish goalkeeper born on 5 July 2002. He began his development with Portadown Youth before joining the Linfield academy in 2011. Walsh signed his first professional contract with Linfield in September 2020 and made his senior debut later that year against Warrenpoint Town. He represented Northern Ireland from under-15 to under-21 level, progressing through the youth international ranks. During his early Linfield years, he competed for opportunities behind established goalkeepers and was part of squads that won the NIFL Premiership and Irish Cup in 2021. In October 2022, Walsh saved two penalties in a County Antrim Shield shoot-out against Cliftonville. He is listed with Ballymena United, adding a further chapter to the career of a goalkeeper whose senior experience began at Linfield.
