Damjan Vukliševič
Damjan Vukliševič is a Slovenian defender who plays primarily as a centre-back for Celje. Born on 28 June 1995, he developed through the youth systems of Slovan and Interblock before joining Maribor’s academy in 2011. He represented Slovenia at the 2012 UEFA European Under-17 Championship and moved into senior football through loans at Veržej and Krško. After leaving Maribor, Vukliševič played for Rudar Velenje and then spent the 2018–19 season with Czech club Slovan Liberec. He returned home with Domžale in 2019, establishing himself as a regular and scoring seven goals in 56 appearances. Vukliševič joined Celje in January 2022 and helped the club win the Slovenian league title. At 1.93 metres, he offers aerial strength in defence while also supporting build-up play from the back.
