Dunstan Vella
Dunstan Vella is a Maltese midfielder born in Fgura on 27 April 1996. He developed in the Hibernians youth system and made his senior debut during the 2012–13 season. Vella spent more than a decade with Hibernians, becoming an established member of the side and contributing to league-winning campaigns in 2014–15, 2016–17 and 2021–22. He also helped Hibernians win the 2022 Maltese Super Cup. In July 2023, Vella moved to Floriana on a free transfer, where his central midfield experience and defensive versatility supported his rise into a leadership role. His 2024–25 form earned him the Malta Football Coaches Association’s Premier League Best Player award. Vella has represented Malta internationally, including at under-17 level and with the senior national team after making his debut in 2018.
