Darko Velkovski

Darko Velkovski is a North Macedonian defender from Skopje, born on 21 June 1995. He developed in Skopje and emerged with FK Rabotnicki, where he won the Macedonian Cup in 2013–14 and 2014–15 and the First League in 2013–14. In 2015, Velkovski moved to Vardar Skopje and added league titles in 2015–16 and 2016–17. He joined HNK Rijeka in 2018, later helping the Croatian club win the Croatian Cup in 2018–19 and 2019–20. Velkovski made his senior North Macedonia debut against China in June 2014 and became an established international defender. In the Euro 2020 qualifying play-off semi-final, he scored a 33rd-minute header against Kosovo as North Macedonia reached its first major tournament. He subsequently represented his country at Euro 2020, contributing from central defence.
