Mohameth Djibril Ibrahima Sow

Mohameth Djibril Ibrahima Sow is a right-footed central midfielder born in Zürich, Switzerland, on 6 February 1997. He developed at FC Zürich before moving to Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2015, where he mainly played for the reserves and made a senior cup appearance. Sow returned to Switzerland with BSC Young Boys in 2017 and established himself in the midfield of the team that won the 2017–18 Swiss league title. In 2019, he joined Eintracht Frankfurt, reuniting with coach Adi Hütter and becoming a regular Bundesliga midfielder. He started Frankfurt’s 2022 Europa League final victory over Rangers, adding a major European honour to his record. Sow has represented Switzerland since 2018 and was part of the squad that reached the Euro 2020 quarter-finals. After moving to Sevilla in 2023, he is listed with Genoa, continuing a career across Swiss, German, Spanish and Italian football.
