Denis Simani

Denis Simani is a Swiss centre-back born in St. Gallen on 13 October 1991. His development included FC Gossau and the Grasshopper Club Zürich academy before he began senior football with FC Gossau in 2009. He later represented Grasshopper Club Zürich II and Basel II, continuing to develop as a left-footed central defender. From 2014 to 2019, Simani played for FC Rapperswil-Jona, where he established himself as a regular defender and scored six goals in 67 appearances. He joined FC Vaduz in 2019 and helped the Liechtenstein club during its promotion campaign and subsequent 2020–21 Swiss Super League season. In January 2022, he moved to FC Luzern, adding top-flight experience before returning to FC Vaduz in May 2024. At Vaduz, Denis Simani brings height, aerial strength and left-footed distribution to the centre of defence, extending a career built across Swiss football’s upper and lower divisions.
