Davinson Sánchez Mina

Davinson Sánchez Mina is a Colombian centre-back born in Caloto on 12 June 1996. He developed at América de Cali before moving to Atlético Nacional, where he converted from defensive midfield to central defence and made his senior debut in 2013. Sánchez helped Atlético Nacional win the 2016 Copa Libertadores, anchoring the defence during the campaign. In June 2016, he joined Ajax and was named the club’s Player of the Year after helping the Amsterdam side reach the 2017 Europa League final. Tottenham signed him in August 2017, and he spent six seasons in north London. He moved to Galatasaray in September 2023, helping secure Süper Lig titles in 2023–24 and 2024–25. Sánchez also represents Colombia, combining recovery pace, aerial strength and proactive defending with confident ball progression from the back.
