David Antonio Ochoa Posas

David Antonio Ochoa Posas, commonly known as David Ruíz, is a Honduran defensive midfielder born in Miami, United States, on February 8, 2004. He joined the Inter Miami academy in 2021, developing within the club’s pathway before signing a Homegrown contract on April 28, 2023. Ruíz made an early first-team impact that season, scoring and assisting in a 2–1 win over New England. By 2024, he had become a rotational option and occasional starter, making 28 appearances and playing more than 1,000 minutes. Primarily a holding midfielder, David Ruíz can also operate centrally, combining pressing and physical intensity with composed passing in possession. Internationally, he represented Honduras at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup before making his senior debut against Grenada on September 12, 2023.
