Daniel Armando Ríos Calderón

Daniel Armando Ríos Calderón is a Mexican forward born in Mexico City on 22 February 1995. He developed in Chivas de Guadalajara’s academy, won youth honours there, and made his senior debut for the club in the 2015 Copa MX. Loans to Coras de Tepic and Zacatepec preceded a 2018 move to North Carolina FC, where his scoring established him in the USL Championship. Nashville SC then made Ríos its first MLS signing, and he scored the club’s first MLS winning goal in 2020. After joining Charlotte FC, he scored the expansion side’s first hat-trick before returning to Chivas in 2023. Ríos later played for Atlanta United and Vancouver Whitecaps, contributing goals during loan spells with both clubs. In January 2026, he joined CF Montréal, adding an experienced central option to the club’s attack.
