Daniel Stephen Redmond
Daniel Stephen Redmond is an English central midfielder who was born in Liverpool on 2 March 1991. He developed in Everton’s academy before joining Wigan Athletic in 2009, making his professional debut against Hull City in the 2011 FA Cup. Redmond later spent loan spells with Hamilton Academical and Carlisle United, while also belonging to Wigan’s squad for their 2013 FA Cup triumph. In 2014, he moved permanently to Hamilton, where he continued his senior career in the Scottish Premiership. After a knee injury disrupted his time in Scotland, Redmond joined The New Saints in 2018. At the Welsh club, he has helped win Cymru Premier titles in 2018–19, 2021–22, 2022–23 and 2023–24, alongside Welsh Cup successes. Redmond has developed from a wide attacker into a versatile midfielder, operating as an advanced or deep-lying playmaker and sometimes at left-back or wing-back.
