David Raum
David Raum is a German left-back born in Nürnberg on 22 April 1998. He began playing at Tuspo Nürnberg before joining SpVgg Greuther Fürth’s academy at eight. Raum entered Fürth’s first team during the 2017–18 2. Bundesliga season, initially as a winger. Under coach Stefan Leitl, he moved into a deeper left-back role and developed the defensive discipline to complement his attacking instincts. His breakthrough came in 2020–21, when his crossing and delivery helped Fürth earn promotion to the Bundesliga. Raum joined 1899 Hoffenheim as a free agent in 2021 and earned his senior Germany debut that September against Armenia. In July 2022, he transferred to RB Leipzig, where he continues to provide width, crosses and recovery work from the left flank while also featuring for Germany.
