Dan Nicolae Nistor

Dan Nicolae Nistor is a Romanian midfielder born in Rucăr on 6 May 1988. He began playing organized football in 2005 with hometown side AS Rucăr, later attracting attention at Internațional Curtea de Argeș and spending loan spells with Muscelul Câmpulung and Dacia Mioveni. Nistor developed his top-flight reputation with Pandurii Târgu Jiu, helping the club finish second in 2012–13 and reach the UEFA Europa League. In 2013, he moved to France to join Evian, but made only six Ligue 1 appearances before returning to Romania. He subsequently had two spells with Dinamo București, where he became a key creative presence and led the league for assists in 2018–19. Nistor then represented Universitatea Craiova, winning the Romanian Cup and Super Cup in 2021. Since joining Universitatea Cluj in 2023, he has remained an influential midfielder and is listed with the club today.
