Diego Nicolas Montiel
Diego Nicolas Montiel is a Swedish midfielder, born on 26 April 1995. He began at IK Franke before joining Västerås SK, where he made his senior debut in 2012. Montiel then spent 2013 and 2014 in the IF Brommapojkarna system, gaining experience with its youth teams. After returning to senior football, he produced his most prolific campaign with Örgryte IS in the 2018 Superettan, recording 13 goals and 14 assists in 28 appearances. His subsequent career included Beerschot Wilrijk, Vejle BK and Vendsyssel FF, as his role expanded from attacking midfielder to deeper central midfield duties. Montiel won the Danish 1st Division with Vejle in 2020. He later played for Vestri in Iceland and joined KA Akureyri in February 2026, continuing a career shaped by creativity and positional versatility.
