Dario Melnjak

Dario Melnjak is a Croatian left-back born in Varaždin on 31 October 1992. He began in the youth ranks of NK Varaždin before playing senior football for NK Nedeljanec and Zelina. Melnjak reached Croatia’s professional game with Slaven Belupo in 2013, establishing himself on the left side. In 2015, he moved to Lokeren and later spent loan spells with Neftchi Baku and back at Slaven Belupo. He found greater continuity at NK Domzale from 2017 to 2019, then joined Rizespor in Turkey. His form there brought call-ups to the Croatia national team under Zlatko Dalić. Melnjak returned home with Hajduk Split in 2021, helping the club win the Croatian Cup in 2022 by scoring twice in the final against Rijeka, and he also scored in the 2023 final. He remains registered with Hajduk.
