Daniel Maldini

Daniel Maldini is an Italian midfielder who developed at AC Milan’s academy after joining it in 2010. He moved from defensive roles into attacking midfield and helped Milan’s Under-16 side win the 2017 national championship. Maldini made his Serie A debut for Milan against Hellas Verona on 2 February 2020, becoming the club’s first player born in the 2000s to appear in the competition. He was part of Milan’s 2021–22 Scudetto-winning squad before gaining broader senior experience with Spezia, Empoli and Monza. At Monza in 2023–24, Daniel Maldini scored four goals in 11 appearances. He later joined Atalanta permanently and is now listed with Cagliari. Maldini also represented Italy at senior level, making his debut against Israel on 14 October 2024 and extending his family’s three-generation international tradition.
