Daniel Harry Lovitz

Daniel Harry Lovitz is an American defender who developed as a midfielder before moving into a full-back role. At Elon University from 2010 to 2013, he became the 2013 Southern Conference Player of the Year. Toronto FC selected Lovitz 24th overall in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft, and he primarily provided depth as a left winger during his first three professional seasons. In 2017, he joined the Montreal Impact as a trialist and converted to left-back, establishing himself in the club’s defense. He helped Montreal win the 2019 Canadian Championship. Lovitz made his United States debut against Panama on January 27, 2019, and recorded 13 international appearances that year, including matches at the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Traded to Nashville SC in November 2019, Lovitz has since contributed as a defensive-minded left-back with reliable crossing and positional versatility.
