Donovan René Léon

Donovan René Léon is a French Guianese goalkeeper born in Cayenne on 3 November 1992. He began playing locally before moving to mainland France in 2007, joining CSF Brétigny and later entering Auxerre’s youth system in 2009. Léon made his professional debut for Auxerre in August 2011, in a 3–1 defeat by Montpellier. After developing through the club’s first team, he moved to Stade Brestois 29 in 2015, spending five seasons in Brittany. He returned to Auxerre in June 2020, bringing experience to a side he helped promote in 2023–24. In December 2024, he produced 11 saves against Paris Saint-Germain to preserve a 0–0 draw at home, a performance that earned widespread recognition. At international level, Donovan Léon has represented French Guiana since making his debut in May 2014, adding regional experience to a career built between French club football and his homeland.
