Dereck Germano Kutesa

Dereck Germano Kutesa is a Swiss midfielder born in Genève in 1997. He developed in Servette FC’s academy and made his senior debut during the 2014–15 season. Following the club’s 2015 administrative relegation, he helped Servette return to Switzerland’s professional ranks. In 2016, Kutesa joined FC Basel 1893, where he was part of the 2016–17 side that won the Swiss Super League and Swiss Cup. He then sought regular football through a loan at FC Luzern before establishing himself at FC St. Gallen. In 2019, he moved to Reims and later spent the 2021–22 season on loan at Zulte Waregem. Kutesa returned to Servette in 2022, scoring 15 league goals in 2024–25. He made his Switzerland debut against the Republic of Ireland in March 2024 and joined AEK Athens in 2025. At AEK Athens, Kutesa continues his career as a versatile midfielder capable of operating from wide areas.
