Damir Kasabulat

Damir Kasabulat is a Kazakhstan defender born in Almaty on 29 August 2002. He developed in the Kairat Almaty academy after joining the system in 2012, progressing to Kairat-Zhastar in March 2020 and making his Kazakhstan First Division debut. During the 2021–22 season, Kairat sent him to its Russian affiliate, Kairat Moscow, where he made 16 appearances before returning to Almaty in February 2022. Kasabulat then established himself with Kairat’s senior side, contributing as a defensive player whose roles have included centre-back, right-back and defensive midfield. He was part of Kairat’s 2024 Kazakhstan Premier League title-winning squad and later helped the club win the 2025 Kazakhstan Super Cup and retain the league crown. At international level, Kasabulat represented Kazakhstan Under-21 and received his first senior call-up in 2025.
